9.2.2010 -- Stonehearth project featured in the Fall Parade of Homes Guidebook
More exciting news from the
Stonehearth team! One of our recent remodeling projects is being featured
in the Fall Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase Guidebook. The Guidebook
includes a full page, full color article featuring the work we did for a
Woodbury family who wanted a unique kitchen/dining area remodel. The
family had moved to the suburbs from the city because they wanted more
space, but their new Woodbury home (particularly the kitchen) still felt a
bit cramped and didn’t totally sync with their daily needs.
In order to reduce the cramp and open up the first floor, we knocked out
the wall separating the kitchen from the dining room and redesigned the
space into a much larger kitchen area that flows into the family room and
living room. We installed ample amounts of cabinet space, a center island
and eating bar, and a special space where the family can drop mail,
newspapers, car keys, etc. when they walk in. We also installed new
hardwood floors throughout the main level to give the house the extra
character the owners were looking for. Entertaining guests is much more
enjoyable for the family now that they have an open kitchen, and they love
having the option of eating meals together at the center island/eating bar
or having enough space to set up their dining room table and eat a larger
meal there. To read the full article visit the Remodelers
Showcase Online Guidebook. You
will find our article on page nine.
In addition to having our project featured in the Showcase Guidebook, the
house is also featured in the real life Fall Parade of Homes Remodelers
Showcase tour happening October 1st – 3rd. Tour times on Friday run from
12 – 8, Saturday and Sunday 12 – 6. For more information on the tour and
our project, visit the Parade
of Homes website.
Hope you get a chance to check out the home and let us know what you
think!
